NorCal CX

The CX racin' season is upon us. So is New Daddy season. One is obviously much more important than the other. However, a little bit anaerobic activity is good for cleansing the mind and body. Thanks to Dave for sending me this photo back from 2005. Hans was cheering me on at this race, even though he felt like crap. He is missed and was one of a kind. I hope he has ended up in a better place.

Racer Bob at Monterey Historics

Thanks to Bob for sharing this cool video from a recent race of his at Laguna Seca. He puts the camera on his roll bar of the Elva. If you pay attention, you can notice of the same portions of the course from the Sea Otter Classic back in April.

The Debut of Fresnoakland

Mr. Williams and I ventured up to Angwin, CA for a day of single speed racing a few weeks ago. Ryan had been on a plane back from steamy New Jersey less than 48 hrs before. In a feat of true warrior spirt, he agreed to put air in his tires and pin the number on his bike. You can just feel the enthusiasm emanating from Ryan in the photo. All things considered, both of our results were pretty good. I am looking forward to representing the new team at future races.

La Fleche Wallonne

Our brave Oncle Chuck did some pre-race scouting of this year's Belgian bicycle classic, La Fleche Wallonne. Chuck was in the midst of a 2100 km bike tour in rainy Spring weather. Best way to see Europe, but a colder and wetter way to do it. It's cool to compare the before and after shots. Chuck is on the left, and the pelaton is on the right.
